Parson
Russell Terriers were bred in England as foxhunters, and their
job was to follow the fox across the fields and under the earth.
The Parson today will pursue any quarry, regardless of size,
ferocity, or danger. My Russells have hunted moose, deer,
beaver, fisher, porcupine and skunk. Russells are
accustomed
to
working alone (terriers are not retrievers) and they do not
require direction from their owner. The Parson's great mental
strength can defy even the most determined of owners.
In years past, I bred a one to
three litters every two years. With the increasing enormous
popularity of the breed, I found that good pet homes, ones that
understood the extreme intelligence and physical drive of the
Parson Russell, were fewer and fewer.
I decided to stop
breeding Russells. I continue to maintain stud dogs,
compete in
conformation,
and co-own the
breed with a few reputable breeders.

stud dogs and litters, please read on.
