Niki is my second
foundation bitch, I acquired her from Lou Perry after Phoebe had
been at Baird Hill for a year. Niki finished her show career as
the #2 Kerry bitch in the country, winning multiple groups. Denis
Springer, the renowned terrier man and sculptor, gave Nik her
first big win, and said the Nik was the best bitch Lou Perry
ever bred. Nik loved every minute in the ring, her ring
presence and steady movement made her a star. While Phoebe was
demure, and Niki, well, Nik has attitude, Nik is attitude. From
the moment she got off the plane, she figured she ruled Baird
Hill, and I figure she was right. In 2004, I bred Nik to a
Phoebe son,
Ch Calix Wildside Epiphany, and produced
Ch Calix Some Say Fire
and
Calix Some Say Ice.
Niki has retired
from breeding, and is busy continuing to rule Baird Hill, be it
from the beaver pond, the top of the hill, or atop the down
quilt. |
